With the selfie becoming a discipline, we will discover how wearing a camera held at arm's length transforms our relationship to the body, the image and space (light, where am I in the image, where the horizon is). We will observe how this space of self-projection creates a new dimension, whether abstract, fictional, or fantasized. And how the manipulation of it offers a vast choreographic, performative and sculptural material. We will touch on the issues related to the staging of oneself, but also to the relationship to time and space, thanks to the creation of traces, the use of these live or delayed. The misuse of this tool will give us the opportunity to relativize what could be considered successful or failed, while focusing on the experience itself.
In 2021, I adapted this workshop for the students of set design at Lacambre I brought a focus on the relation to space and the supports of projection. Body/image/space (with Robinson Catelin, Chloe Tempelhof, Benjamin Muzart, Clémence Thiery, Louise Vacher Weiss, Clémentine Gomez.)
