How the perception of the body and how its limits can be displaced in relation to ourselves and others ? How the perception of the movement, the touch, and the informations we get from it can inform our bodies. When « I move », meets « being moved by ». The source of the movement is not personnal anymore.
By letting go of images and beliefs around what we are, by letting go of the beliefs that are framing our perception, we witness presence & interconnectedness. From the stillness that welcomes all movements, there is a possibility to welcome the flow.
This workshop is not to be considered as a morning routine for dancers but an introduction to practices that displace what we perceive as self and others. Therefore adressed to performers, dancers, artists, or anyone that is curious to experience interconnectedness - through movement - through presence.
I will guide you through improvisations that flirt with hypnosis, light induced transe, using fictionnal images that opens the body, thus organically mixed with meditations. Those explorations will be done alone, in relation to others, in group, sometimes involving touch. We will enter in states and spaces where words can't go.
This work is rooted in body practices and trainings developped specifically during creation processes, as preparations for performance involving other mediums, wether it was some sculptural material, video, light, sound, etc. The memory of those mediums/materials is present in those practices.
This work is also nurtured by the encounter of choreographers like Benoit Lachambre, Meg Stuart, Anja Rottgerkamp, the collective Dance for plants, the ecosexual movement, the perspective of Douglas Harding and other nondualist spiritual traditions.
