Among others was a two days workshop, around work, pleasure & care, part of a broader project named Along the way, among others. This was presented in the frame of the festival Infinite Present in Ljubljana, member of the European network A Time for Live Art. It took place after a slow travel of seven days, from Brussels to Ljubljana, following the atelier, we presented a performance with some of the participants.
During this workshop, we worked around topics related to touch - to touch and to be touched - to be covered & naked, and all the questions it tackles around intimacy, desire and boundaries.
I proposed some performative tools around pleasure and care, those tools are inspired by ecosex feminism, and tantra, practices about consent. it took the shape of individual and collective exercices, dynamic and guided meditations, death and care rituals.
We used water as a medium, to connect with both the human and the more-than-human. Also as a vector of care, play, sensations, revealing the body as a surface, receptacle, relief, landscape.
This workshop was adressed to every bodies - queers, performers, sex workers, young & old bodies - bodies that fear to be touched, bodies that are missing it. To everyone that wanted to experience with touch, work, and pleasure, to every one that wanted to experience intimacy and care in a ritualized form.
